Kai should ditch the gel nails. They are too immature and unprofessional. I know you're young, but that's too much. You should watch Emilynoel83. She has reviews on fake nails. They're simple french manicured one. Not only with they keep you from biting your nails, they will be much more forgiving when it comes to health of your nails. I can't imagine the damage gel nails do.
Kai - If the Crest strips don't work on you, try the Plus White 5 Minute system. You can find reviews from the other gurus on youtube and I've found that it works a lot better for me than the strips. It's only about $12 at CVS.

I'm very impressed that Kai is taking our advice even if it is in baby steps. We are being 100% honest with her rather than baby her like some of her subs. It's refreshing to see her want to change. And I agree with some of the anons. If you are honest people will take you more seriously. I mean look at the top "gurus" they're all superficial sellouts and people are starting to dislike them more each day.

I'm going to ease up on trolling Kai. My main issue was that she would never taken any advice or criticism. It didn't seem like she wanted to improve. Now that she has, I'm really glad.
To avoid airbubbles I would get the ones that are clear rather than light skin colored. The kiss brand is really good as well. The Kiss Everlasting French in the clear pink style look very pretty and natural.

I would go for something other than thongs, though. Just IMO, I don't like them much at all, and they really make something look extremely casual.
Personally, I would go for some heels, they really elongate your legs, especially with boot cut jeans. Some peep toed ones that are patent/with some detailing over the toe area like these would look nice:

Definately let it grow! I think longer hair will make your face look more thin and just be more flattering overall. Keep it dark...I hate blonde highlights on dark hair, it just looks trashy to me. If you want to go a little lighter, have light brown highlights but make it subtle. No skunky chunks, please...

maybe we were naive to think we could truly help. she sure doesn't seem to care what was say about highlights...maybe we've hit the limit.
Even avoiding foundation for a WEEK helps dramatically. I stopped using makeup for a week when I was on break and my skin looks SO much better!
We're giving her all this advice on her hair and just watch. tomorrow she's going to have those nasty old school chunky highlights. If so that will make me feel like a complete idiot for feeling like i liked her for once.

The way she had her highlights a few months back was actually pretty. Her mom used an auburn and it made her hair look so much richer.
If you're set on highlights, I would go with that at the base and then add a few small caramel highlights. As long as they're not chunky.

@11:33 I was randomly interviewing for a retail job at a department store years ago, and I mentioned that I'd love to work at the makeup counter, too, as I noticed there were positions posted for it. The interviewer was really blunt and said that they always had a LOT of applicants for those positions. Every little girl and middle aged woman who likes makeup wants those jobs. And the people at the counters usually get discounts and free products to help promote the store, so that makes them even more selective... whether you've graduated from a school or course, or whatever, they want someone who they know is going to use their makeup, know the products, and demonstrate them well.
IMO it's definitely great, when you're looking for a job, to look out of your box. I'd never imagine I'd want to work where I do now, but I pretty much love the people I work with. I want something with more hours atm, though, and once again... I NEED and WANT something more suited to my financial needs, so I'm considering nearly every little thing in my scope...except, maybe, you know, mcdonalds, lol.
Especially if you want to work in retail--and at a makeup counter-- they are going to want experience. It's easy enough to start out in retail as a cashier at a grocery store, a craft store, a book store, target, anything, really.
