Ingredients
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cubed
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup frozen green peas
1/2 cup sliced celery
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
2/3 cup milk
2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C.)
2. In a saucepan, combine chicken, carrots, peas, and celery. Add water to cover and boil for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.
3. In the saucepan over medium heat, cook onions in butter until soft and translucent. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and celery seed. Slowly stir in chicken broth and milk. Simmer over medium-low heat until thick. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Place the chicken mixture in bottom pie crust. Pour hot liquid mixture over. Cover with top crust, seal edges, and cut away excess dough. Make several small slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

New social media sites are always fun and exciting, until greed gets involved and it turns everything into money making machines. YouTube is turning into an ad machine, Twitter is starting to be exploited, and even our precious ONTD has ads on it now. (Hey ontd-ers!)
Actually, this is a good chance for me to express how I feel about the new ONTD to fellow ONTD-ers without being ~caught by mods.
Say goodbye to the old ONTD we know and love. It's going to turn into Perezhilton.com. The ads are retarded and irrelevant, but they were just implemented and they're Google Adsense ads. I'm sure ONTD will implement sponsored ads, and more relevant ads once they're able to get demographics on members. If ONTD ever puts a survey up DON'T TAKE IT!!! Perez asked his users to do surveys before to get demographic information that can be shown to advertisers to get better rates.
Brenden is disgusting. What exactly would the ~editor~ of ONTD do when users are the ones submitting posts? He just wants to be the next Perez. Since he joined the LJ team I'm sure he gets paid now by LJ. And I'm sure he'll be taking a cut of ad revenue. I'm telling you right now, ONTD has potential to make MILLIONS. There's over 100,000 members and growing everyday, plus all the lurkers. That equals millions and millions of page views a day.
I have a feeling ONTD will end up a money machine, and just use us users to submit content while Brenden and LJ rake in the dough. That's why ONTD got trademarked and will have it's own web address and servers soon. It's literally turning into perezhilton.com, with Brenden as our own fat greedy attention whore queer Perez-wanna be.

yeah, youtube will come and go, which is why if you're a "big" guru its best to use youtube as a platform to move onto bigger things.. our generation get bored with things so quickly, in a few years youtube will be dying just like myspace is dying lulz
I've started to see ONTD changing too, sadly. I really can't stand the mods anymore. Don't get me started on Mattchew, who thinks he's famous just because he APPROVES POSTS and D list celebrities acknowledge him on Twitter.

I don't care if ONTD makes money lol. If you don't like it, don't view the site. It's not like it's original content anyways. You keep saying how big ONTD is. It's so big that LJ's servers can't handle it, hence ads to get a better server. I really don't see why you're getting angry.

Severs don't cost that much. ONTD could have ads up for a month and make enough money to move servers. Plus ONTD is an LJ comm so it's LJ's problem to get better servers. What about all the money it makes afterwards?

Oh well. Those mods deserve the money if they're getting paid. The mods I see are always on there and it's their LIFE. I'd want to be paid if I had to do that for hours everyday. If they slip up, people freak out.

LMAO The mods deserve money? What the fuck for? They are NOT on all the time or "hours a day"! There's like what, 8 mods? One of them has to come on every hours or so to approve some new posts. Most of them are online anyway (do you see the mods' twitters?) It's not that much work, get real.
The most work comes from putting together a post to submit! I don't know if you've ever submitted a post, but it can take up to 15 minutes to format it properly. And then what does it take? 20 seconds for a mod to preview it and accept or reject it?
All the mods have ego problems, tbh.
All they do is approve posts that are just reposted or have content taken from other sites. I've been a mod of a huge community before and it takes literally 2 seconds to approve them. Most of them seem to spend their entire days online anyway.

What are you talking about? The mods all volunteered to be mods without pay, so they want to do it. They're all online anyway, they live online. Have you not seen their twitters, blogs, etc? Half of them work for websites as writers and stuff.
Accepting posts, putting trolls in their place, posting a FFAF once a week, and being unnecessarily rude and condescending to members isn't that hard.

Aurosan admitted on his formspring that being an ONTD mod got him jobs. And I can see how. Saying you're a moderator for a huge online blog/community is perfect if you're applying to online companies/websites. So there's more reasons to be a mod other than pay.
