Ok, I don't get why the whole Elle and blair moving to LA is getting so much attention, in elle's latest blog post she ADMITS that they are considering moving there and are looking for apartments etc.
she's preparing to announce it soon for sure, once all the "projects" can be discussed etc.
The situation in Juarez is a human problem, and throwing money at them won't do shit to help those people.
That said, the collection isn't based solely on Juarez; it's based on ALL the border towns, which are all shitty places anyway. The names are distasteful; the promo image is distasteful and reminiscent of a woman working in a maquiladora, and the products in the collection are BORING.
And to the asshat saying we're only talking about this for attention: NO. I'm pretty well aware of human rights issues in various places, and the second I heard about this collection and looked at the products and corresponding names, I was offended.
It IS a situation that needs more attention, so I'm glad people are talking about it, whatever their reason for doing it because awareness is always better than ignorance.
